The University of Bath’s School of Management partnered with Transform CDE and Action Net Zero in 2023 to create the Employer Regional Action (ERA) Network. Our exclusive workshops — launched in 2024 — provide secure spaces for open discussion between a select group of established businesses, fostering actionable solutions, while our summit events share knowledge with businesses across the region to build a better, more sustainable future.
By bringing together organisations from across the South West and facilitating conversations about shared challenges and best practices, ERA supports businesses to address and act on a broad range of challenges, from net zero initiatives to employee engagement.
The ERA Network is driven by a bold mission: to catalyse meaningful change towards sustainable practices and outcomes. Through a series of workshops, seminars, and strategic initiatives, ERA empowers businesses to integrate sustainability into their core operations, driving positive environmental, social and economic outcomes.
Stakeholders and partnerships
At its heart, the ERA Network is built from partnership. By bringing together businesses, academia, non-governmental organisations, and community leaders, ERA creates a platform for dialogue, exchange, and collective problem-solving. From multinational corporations to local enterprises, each stakeholder plays a vital role in shaping the network's impact and influence.
As we look to the future, in a world grappling with climate change, social inequality, and economic uncertainty, the ERA Network offers a pathway towards a more sustainable, equitable future. Through collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose, we can build a world where businesses thrive, communities flourish, and the planet prospers.
The ERA Network is more than just an alliance of organisations — it's a catalyst for transformation, for progress, and for a brighter tomorrow.
Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPs) are long-term, real-world projects that bring together interdisciplinary, multi-level teams of students to work collaboratively with academic staff.
